Summary :
This visiting professorship permits to invite John Delaney for two scientific visits in the Ile de France region. John Delaney, Senior Imaging Scientist at the National Gallery of Art (Washington D.C., USA), introduced the technique of Reflectance Imaging Spectroscopy in heritage science, and is a world reference in instrumental development of hyperspectral cameras for the analysis of historical objects, and in the processing of complex data sets. Its visit will focus on two main areas: i) chemical imaging campaigns organized in situ within DIM PAMIR member institutions, and ii) training and dissemination activities for scientists of the network interested in the benefits of hyperspectral imaging for the study of collections.
