Summary :

The project involves the development of IT solutions to meet the following needs:
  1. Design and develop a web-based mapping application to distribute this data to the public, ensuring compatibility across all types of devices, computing environments, and user interfaces.
  2. Develop an open-source mobile application for geolocation, collaborative work, and the dissemination of data related to siliceous resources used during Prehistory, based on the MERGIN Maps solution, which can operate on various mobile devices running Android and iOS, as well as the MERGIN Maps extension for the QGIS geographic information system software.
  3. Create the database from the two applications developed in open source.

 

The project will ensure that data and metadata are published under an open license, and the applications will also be released as open-source software. The overall project will align with FAIR principles by facilitating the reuse of the developed tools and the published data and metadata, in accordance with the recommendations of national open science plans.
